  1. Hello-
I have been perusing the different SD ski clubs and like that your club offers mid-week trips to Mammoth. However, I’d like some clarification about what’s available to me if I join your organization.

Does membership in one club allow you to take advantage of the ski and/or adventure trips offered by the other local clubs? And vice versa? Is there another club that you usually partner with to do this?

I know that all SD clubs form a “council” and gain membership in the FWSA and can participate in what they offer.

    Thank you for your help.

    • Most clubs, including DDSC, require that you become a member in order to participate in their trips. Generally if a trip has not been filled by club members then it is opened to other member clubs in the San Diego Council of Ski Clubs. DDSC has run joint trips with Torrey Pines ski club.

  2. Hi Ellen,

I’m loving the midweek options to Mammoth. Less crowds! My question is, is it possible to pay for the bus transportation separately ? I don’t need accommodations I have a place up there but hate driving solo all the time. If thats not possible do you have a car pooling message board ?

    • We do offer transportation only, subject to availability. Club members have priority. A few slots are usually available. Contact the trip leader indicated on the Trips page.
